Final Assessment for Race Unit

You have the entire period to write in response to our Key Question. Include an introduction, thesis statement, supporting body paragraphs, in-text citations, and conclusion in your essay. You are to work the entire class period on this essay. Using the initial response to the Key Question, write one paragraph in your essay addressing how your answer changed, has been supported or become more informed since we started our unit on race. For in-text citations, use the author’s name (Last, first) or if there is not an author use the short link (www.nytimes.com) to your sources. You are required list the full URL links to your sources as the bibliography at the end of the essay.

The grade you earn for this in class essay is evaluated by the relatedness to the Key Question, support of your claims, and effort. If you feel that you are done before the end of the hour, edit your paper, look up more evidence to support your claims, or check that your essay meets all the requirements. Do not stop working on the essay until the hour ends.
